Alikovsky District Literary and Local History Museum
О музее
In 1995, the Alikovo Literary and Local History Museum was opened in the village of Alikovo to commemorate the settlement's 300th anniversary. Previously, this building housed the Alikovo two-class school, built in 1872 by the Chuvash educator Ivan Yakovlevich Yakovlev. The museum displays items of historical and cultural significance to the republic, as well as more than 16,000 museum exhibits. There are halls dedicated to nature, ethnography, local history, military glory, labor glory, veterans of international service, and a house-museum room named after I. Y. Yakovlev. The museum serves as a cultural center for the residents of Alikovo and provides services to a wide audience.
