Abaza Historical and Local History Museum named after V. V. Andriyashev
About museum
The merchant Kipreev's house, built in 1887, is a genuine landmark of the town of Abaza. The Abaza Local History Museum named after V. V. Andriyashev was opened here; in 2010 it was awarded the title "Best Municipal Museum of the Republic of Khakassia." The museum's exhibits are devoted to the history of the town and the Khakassia region from the 4th–3rd centuries BC. On display are arrowheads, knives, bronze and silver brooches, and millstones. The estate is surrounded by a massive brick fence, and spacious barns and a stable stand in the yard. Kipreev's house is an excellent place to explore the history of Abaza and to enjoy an unforgettable visit.
