Zainetdin Gaynetdinovich Gaynitdinov was the founder of the Kunashak district museum of local history. He was born on November 17, 1916 in the village of Kunashak into a large peasant family. He began his working life in 1932, working in the district Komsomol committee and as an accountant. In the late 1930s he graduated from a pedagogical school in Ufa and for a time worked as an announcer for Bashkir broadcasting in Chelyabinsk, after which he returned to Kunashak and became a teacher. His service in the Red Army began in the Far East, where he was when the war began.
During the war with Japan, Gaynitdinov served as a senior lieutenant and senior political officer, and later as adjutant to the commander of the Far Eastern Front. He was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd class, and other decorations. After the war Gaynitdinov worked for the district and regional radio and for more than 30 years taught at the Kunashak school. He was a member of the Komsomol and the CPSU, actively participated in public life, headed the district branch of the "Znanie" (Knowledge) society and worked as editor of the local radio broadcasting.
Even after retiring in 1976, Gaynitdinov continued his local-history work. At his initiative, on October 25, 1977, a district museum of local history was established in Kunashak. Zainetdin Gaynetdinovich Gaynitdinov passed away in 1995.
