Vladimir Konstantinovich Egorov was a teacher, local historian, Honored School Teacher of the RSFSR, a participant in the Great Patriotic War, and an honorary citizen of Krasnoarmeysky District. He was born on July 12, 1919. In 1938, after finishing secondary school, he enrolled in the Chelyabinsk Teacher's Institute in the faculty of geography. After graduating from the institute, Egorov began teaching at Miass Secondary School No. 1.
From 1947 to 1980, Vladimir Konstantinovich headed the geography teachers' section, was actively involved in local history work, and conducted regional seminars on local history and tourism. In the 1950s he organized a local history museum at the Miass school — now the municipal institution "Krasnoarmeysky People's Local History Museum named after V. K. Egorov." Egorov discovered eleven archaeological sites, created more than eleven tourist routes in the Chelyabinsk region, and wrote the book "In the Interfluve of the Techa and Miass" about his research. Vladimir Konstantinovich Egorov died on May 3, 2007, at the age of 88.
