Vladimir Alekseevich Yudin - poet, writer, artist, photographer, and local historian. Author of several books on the history of the town and district and of numerous poetry collections. Creator of the Museum of Military History at Vocational Lyceum No. 19 and of the museum on the history of KREMZ; founder of the Kimovsk Local History Museum. The museum now bears his name.
