Mikhail Eremeevich Igoshev was a journalist, local historian and public figure, a participant in the Great Patriotic War, and the founder of the Uinsk Local History Museum. He was born on October 1, 1923. After the war he held various positions: chairman of the village council and head of the village reading room. Subsequently he devoted himself to journalism.
From 1953 to 1983 Igoshev worked as head of a department, deputy editor and editor of district newspapers. With his active participation, the newspapers began to publish regular columns dedicated to the region's history: "Our Local History Calendar" and "Local History Bulletin". In 1967 Igoshev founded the Uinsk Local History Museum. From 1983 to 1991 Igoshev led the museum, developed its collections, created exhibitions and organized the first displays devoted to the region's history. Mikhail Eremeevich Igoshev passed away on March 5, 1991. In 1992 the museum was named after him.
