About museum
Tatyana Grigoryevna Solomakha – a teacher, a Red Commissar, a member of the Bolshevik Party, a participant in the Russian Civil War and in the establishment of Soviet power in the Kuban. Tatyana Solomakha was raised under the ideological influence of her father. Their home hosted students and teachers who were persecuted by the authorities for their revolutionary views. Tatyana loved to read; her favorite book was E. L. Voynich's novel 'The Gadfly'.
Progressively minded teachers worked at the Armavir gymnasium. Some of them took part in the Revolution of 1917 and the Civil War, and later most worked in Soviet schools. Tatyana Grigoryevna welcomed the overthrow of autocracy in Russia with joy and, under the influence of the early Bolsheviks Poputnaya (G. Stepanov, N. M. Shpilko and V. T. Shpilko), became a party member in June 1918. She worked in the revolutionary committee, spoke at rallies, and faced mortal danger. The young communist remained a loyal patriot of the USSR until the end of her life.
