Patimat Rasulovna Gamzatova is a Soviet and Russian art historian. Patimat Gamzatova was born on March 18, 1959, in Makhachkala, into the family of the poet Rasul Gamzatov. She graduated from the Faculty of History, Department of Art History, at M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University. She is the author of two monographs and more than 90 scholarly publications; the initiator and scientific editor of art-historical collections and journals; a curator and organizer of conferences and art exhibitions; and a participant in exhibition projects of the State Historical Museum, the Museums of the Moscow Kremlin, the State Museum of Architecture named after A.V. Shchusev, and the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve. She lives and works in Moscow.
