Nikolai Grigoryevich Stoletov – General of the Infantry, commanded the Bulgarian militia during the Russo-Turkish War of 1877–1878. He distinguished himself in the conquest of Turkestan and became one of the founders of the city of Krasnovodsk on the Caspian Sea.
