About museum
Natalya Nikolaevna Pushkina-Lanskaya (née Goncharova) was a Russian aristocrat, the wife of the great Russian poet A. S. Pushkin. Her childhood was spent at her grandfather's estate, Polotnyany Zavod. In 1828, at the age of sixteen, she became acquainted with Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin. On February 18, 1931, she married him.
After the death of her husband, Natalya Nikolaevna moved to Polotnyany Zavod with her children and sister. She lived there for two years, maintaining ties with Pushkin's family and friends, and erected the first monument at his grave in Mikhaylovskoye. In 1839 Natalya returned to St. Petersburg, but declined high-society life, preferring domestic life surrounded by numerous relatives and friends.
In 1843 Natalya met General P. Lansky, who had been a comrade-in-arms of her brother. He soon proposed to her. Their wedding took place in July 1844 in Strelna. Natalya Nikolaevna Goncharova died in 1863 of pneumonia, after a trip to Moscow for her grandson's christening.
