Gennady Stepanovich Raishev – painter, graphic artist, theatre artist. Gennady Stepanovich Raishev was born in the village of Sivochrebt. He graduated from the Surgut school and the Faculty of Philology of the Leningrad Pedagogical Institute named after Herzen. Raishev's later life was closely connected with art.
From 1962 to 1975 he worked as an artist-designer at the Karpin cinema. In 1974 he joined the Union of Artists of the USSR. Subsequently he was awarded the title of Honorary Academician of the Demidov Academy of Arts and Artistic Crafts, became a member of the Public Chamber of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug and was elected a Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts. Gennady Stepanovich Raishev died on November 8, 2020 in Khanty-Mansiysk.
