Eduard Arkadyevich Shteinberg — an artist of the second wave of the Russian avant-garde and a representative of nonconformist art. In 1988, following an invitation from the French side to go to France with an exhibition, he was urgently admitted to the Union of Artists of the USSR by order of the Central Committee of the CPSU.
