Yevgeny Sergeyevich Anninsky was an educator and educational figure, Honored School Teacher of Russia (1994), an amateur archaeologist and petroglyph specialist. He was the founder of the branch of the Museum and Exhibition Center of Zheleznogorsk, the 'E. S. Anninsky Museum of Archaeology'. He was born in the village of Borovskoye in Krasnoyarsk Krai into a family of a school principal. After seven years of schooling he studied at the Achinsk Pedagogical College, and then at the Achinsk Teachers' Institute.
On September 1, 1952, he began working at the Skripachnikovskaya seven-year school, where he taught history, the USSR constitution, and geography. After serving in the Soviet Army (1952–1956), he continued his education and entered the third year of the Faculty of Literature at the Abakan Pedagogical Institute. In 1956 he became director of the Skripachnikovskaya school, succeeding his father in that position. In addition to leading the school, Anninsky taught drawing, physical education, and labor. In 1967 he took charge of School No. 104 in Zheleznogorsk, continuing to teach history and physical education. He headed the school until 1984.
Alongside his pedagogical activities, Anninsky was actively engaged in archaeology. He founded a school archaeological museum and, from 1992, led the 'Tepsey' archaeological camp for schoolchildren and students. For his work he was awarded the badge of the All-Russian Society for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments (1986), received the title Honored Teacher of the Russian Federation (1994), was recognized as the Best Museum Worker of Krasnoyarsk Krai (2002), and was awarded the title Honored Educator of Krasnoyarsk Krai (2003). Yevgeny Sergeyevich Anninsky passed away on December 29, 2009.
