Emilia Alekseevna Nalimova

Emilia Alekseevna Nalimova – public figure. She was born on April 15, 1937 in the village of Vylgort, now in the Komi Republic. She received her education at the Republican cultural-educational school, mastering the professions of community club worker and choirmaster. Later she graduated from the Syktyvkar Cultural and Educational College with a specialty in librarianship.

 

From 1958 Emilia Alekseevna began working at the Garinsky rural club, and then held various positions at the district House of Culture in the village of Vylgort: instructor, organizer of mass events, methodologist and director. From 1970 to 1982 she headed the centralized library system of the Syktyvdinsky District; from 1982 to 1998 she served as head of the Department of Culture of the Syktyvdinsky District Executive Committee; and from 1999 to 2011 she worked as a methodologist at the Museum of History and Culture of the Syktyvdinsky District.

 

Emilia Alekseevna was one of the founders of the Museum of History and Culture of the Syktyvdinsky District. In addition, for many years she served as a deputy of the Vylgort village council, led the district organization of the trade union of cultural workers, and held leadership positions in the district women's council. Emilia Alekseevna Nalimova passed away on December 9, 2019.
