Alexander Grigorievich Stoletov — professor at the Imperial Moscow University, a researcher of ferromagnetism and the photoelectric effect, and the founder of the university's physical laboratory. He formulated the "first law of the photoelectric effect", the constant in the formula of which was later named the "Stoletov constant".
