Indoor exhibition of the Central Air Force Museum
About exhibition
The exhibition is laid out in two hangars and six halls. The main museum building is wooden; it was built in 1932–1934. The area of the indoor premises is 5,500 sq. m. Visitors will see: airplanes, helicopters and other aircraft; a rich collection of aircraft engines, including a unique specimen — O. S. Kostovich's invention for airships — as well as steam engines; a collection of propellers, including the earliest wooden examples; aviation equipment and weaponry from various eras; battle flags of Air Force units of the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army that participated in the Great Patriotic War; clothing samples; documentary sources, and video, audio, and photographic materials reflecting the history of aviation.
