Exhibition project "Kuzbass: Time and People"

About exhibition

The exhibition is dedicated to the historical processes in the territory of Kuzbass through the formation and development of social communities and groups. Visitors will see: an ethnographic collection of the indigenous peoples of Kuzbass — the Shors and the Teleuts; objects of Orthodox culture and the religious beliefs of the indigenous peoples; a full-size replica of a smelting metallurgical furnace used by the Kuznetsk Tatars in the 16th century; equipment and accoutrements of service-class people from the 17th century; a collection of samovars, irons and tableware from the 19th–20th centuries; numismatic items from the 17th century; tools used by peasants of the Kuznetsk uyezd in the 19th–20th centuries; a gramophone and a clock that belonged to wealthy merchants of Mariinsk from the late 19th to the early 20th century.
