The museum's general art collection numbers over five thousand works and provides a fairly comprehensive picture of the various schools and trends of Russian visual art of the second half of the 20th century. The "golden fund" is made up of works by People's Artists Sergei Bazilev, Eduard Bragovsky, Alexei Gritsay, Vasily Efanov, Evgeny Kibrik, Gely Korzhev, Leonard Turzhansky, Vasily Yakovlev, Petr Ossovsky, and Igor Obrosov. A significant part of the collection consists of works by Siberian artists, among whom notable are the works of Taymyr artists — Georgy Knyazhevsky, Nikolai Loy, Nikolai Sviridov, Emilia Goncharova — as well as works by the Dolgan artist Boris Molchanov and the Nganasan artist Motyumyaku Turdagin. The Art Gallery hosts cultural events and exhibition projects, both its own and collaborative — interregional and inter-museum.
