About exhibition
Exhibition 'Man – Life – Universe. Contrast of Juxtapositions' Address: Griboedov Canal Embankment, 103 An inter-museum project organized for the 10th anniversary of the Museum of Art of St. Petersburg of the 20th–21st centuries, dedicated to the theme of man as the center of the universe. The exhibition's concept is revealed through contrasting juxtapositions of different eras and artistic styles — from the early 20th century to the present day. More than 150 works of painting, sculpture, objects, and installations will be shown to visitors, both from the MISP collection and from other museum holdings in St. Petersburg and Moscow. Exhibition 'Fragments of Epochs' Address: Griboedov Canal Embankment, 101 The 'Fragments of Epochs' exhibition takes place in the premises of the new building — the former mansion of merchant Ivan Alafuzov. The exhibition's content does not have a clear chronological framework. The display is composed of over 100 works (out of the 12,000 items in storage) of painting, sculpture, objects, and decorative-applied arts.
