Do you want to know what campanophilia is? Do you want to discover the beautiful, sonorous world of bells? Then come to the exhibition 'The Ringing Story'! Here you will see more than 500 bells, including decorative and harness bells, desk and hanging bells, call bells, metal, glass, ceramic, porcelain, faience, and wooden ones... They are accompanied not by simple labels but by a card index that contains interesting information and audio recordings of the 'voices' of some of them. The exhibition was created as part of the "From the Pure Heart" project, which won the "Practices of Personal Philanthropy and Altruism" competition of the V. Potanin Charitable Foundation. The project aims to popularize and promote traditions of altruism and patronage in museum activities. The event that served as the starting point for the project was the donation to the museum by collector Larisa Mikhailovna Frantsek (Moscow) of 541 items from her unique collection of decorative bells from the 19th–21st centuries. Includes a visit to the Museum Depository and the exhibition 'Speaks and Shows...'.
