Exhibition 'Life and Work of A. S. Grin'
About exhibition
The exhibition's main aim is to show the roots of the writer's creativity and the spiritual formation of his personality. A large part of the exhibition is devoted to the childhood years of the future writer, which he spent in Vyatka. In the child's room and the parlor a typical household of an ordinary civil servant's family has been recreated, displaying authentic and memorial items from the Grinevsky family: furniture, tableware, a drafting set, a book bound by Alexander Grin, and a jasper stone brought as a gift for his father. The exhibition recounts his world of passions and interests, the difficult years of wandering, and the writer's creative work. A central place is given to "Scarlet Sails" — a work that has become a classic of romanticism in Russian literature.
