Exhibition 'The Living Pencil'
About exhibition
The exhibition will present more than forty works by the legendary Soviet graphic artist Leonid Soyfertis, whose career spans more than half a century. Visitors will see the artist's path from the sharp satirical sketches of the 1930s to the vivid and characteristic drawings of the 1980s. Special attention will be given to works created during the Great Patriotic War, which Soyfertis experienced as a war correspondent. His albums preserve vivid testimony of the defense of Sevastopol and Odessa, the liberation of Malaya Zemlya, and many other events he witnessed firsthand.
