Exhibition "Winter Patterns of Russia-2024"

About exhibition

The Astrakhan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Folk Culture has announced the results of the children's decorative-applied and visual arts competition "Winter Patterns of Russia." Residents of Astrakhan and visitors to the city can visit the exhibition until January 20, 2025. Children and adolescents aged 3 to 17 took part in this creative pre-New Year competition. Participants tried their hand in various categories: "Three-dimensional composition," "Best decorative panel," "Most original Christmas tree ornament," "New Year's drawing," and "New Year's window." More than 200 people from Astrakhan, Akhtubinsk, Znamensk, as well as the Kamyzyaksky, Narimanovsky, Kharabalinsky, and Limansky districts of the region submitted works. The exhibition features pieces made on New Year themes using a variety of decorative-applied and visual art techniques. Visitors can see remarkable works created using techniques such as felting, paper sculpture, wool watercolor, papier-mâché, as well as drawings executed in gouache, watercolor, pastel, and many other materials.
