The museum invites you to visit the exhibition "Iron." The exhibition displays archaeological finds from the territory of the Chusovoy district, and you can try your hand at archaeology, learn what a stratigraphic section is, and attempt to determine the age of the finds. The exhibition also features models of an ancient metal-smelting furnace and a water wheel; you will learn how iron was prospected, smelted, and worked in the Middle Ages, what makes the mining-and-smelting factory civilization unique, and how a mining plant differs from a metallurgical one. And you'll draw your own conclusion: is the Chusovoy plant a mining or a metallurgical one?
