The exhibition of works by Andrei Ilyenko "Here Is My Life" is dedicated to the celebration of the 130th anniversary of the city of Izobilny. Andrei Ilyenko was born on October 15, 1922 in the village of Tuligolova, Sumy Oblast, Ukraine. His father was a joiner and cabinetmaker. Andrei Ilyenko loved to draw. In 1939 he enrolled in the Penza Art School. In 1941 he was drafted for military service to the Far East, and then to Mongolia. There, far from his homeland, the war caught up with him. For the successful completion of combat missions, Junior Lieutenant Andrei Ilyenko was awarded the Order of the Red Star on August 30, 1945. The artist's works move the viewer with their poignant truth and caring attitude toward nature and life. The exhibition presents his works devoted to the Great Patriotic War and the city of Izobilny.
