Exhibition 'This Is Where My Homeland Began'
About exhibition
Staff of the Historical and Local Lore Museum invite residents and visitors of the Gulkevichi district to the exhibition 'This Is Where My Homeland Began', dedicated to the founding of Gulkevichi. At the exhibition you can learn about the beginning of settlement on the left bank of the Kuban River after the thirty-year Caucasian War ended in 1864, and about the laying of the single-track Rostov–Vladikavkaz railway in 1875. The display cases contain exhibits illustrating the lives and activities of landowners. The exhibition hall features a collection of household items from the pottery and blacksmithing trades dating from the late 19th to the early 20th century from the museum's collections.
