Exhibition 'Remember How Delicious It Was!'
About exhibition
The exhibition displays more than 70 items from the collections of the Museum-Reserve 'Homeland of V. I. Lenin': confectionery packaging from the late 19th to the early 20th century. These include tableware, recipe books with treats and tips for thrifty housewives, and kitchen utensils made in Russia and Western European countries—metal, ceramic, wooden and papier-mâché items for preparing, freezing, storing and serving sweets. An early-20th-century price list by Robert Kentz will inform visitors about the cost of kitchen utensils in the past. The project's theme allows visitors to immerse themselves in changing fashions for treats, notice innovations in factory-made and homemade sweet recipes, and study the features of commercial packaging from a bygone era.
