Exhibition «The Seasons»
About exhibition
The exhibition will feature works by Russian artists devoted to the nature of Russia in different seasons. Landscapes in Russian paintings often reflect the beauty and diversity of Russia's nature. They can be bright and colorful or subtle and delicate, but they always convey the mood and emotions that nature evokes in the artist. Many paintings by Russian artists depict snow-covered forests and fields, with trees and shrubs blanketed in snow and the air filled with crisp, frosty air. Such works convey an image of winter Russia—its beauty and severity. Spring landscapes are painted with vivid colors and light: you can see blooming flowers, forests and fields turning green, and bright sunbeams filtering through the branches of trees. Summer scenes convey the feel of a hot Russian summer: golden fields where grain sways slowly, as well as bright flowers and green trees. Autumn landscapes portray the splendor of Russian fall: falling leaves, golden fields and forests, and vivid colors that create a unique atmosphere and mood. The exhibition will include reproductions of paintings by Russian landscape painters: Ivan Shishkin's 'Winter Forest', 'Morning in a Pine Forest' and others. Spring landscapes were depicted by Valentin Serov, Arkady Rylov, Konstantin Korovin and other artists. Summer landscapes can be seen in works by Ilya Repin, Ivan Aivazovsky, Abram Arkhipov and others. In autumn Russian artists also found inspiration for their works, for example in Ivan Shishkin's 'Autumn Forest' and 'Autumn Time'. The exhibition is an interesting opportunity to become acquainted with the work of Russian artists and to enjoy the beauty of Russia's nature.
