Exhibition "The Whole World Is My Temple..."
About exhibition
Visiting the exhibition, you will immerse yourself in the atmosphere in which Kosta Levanovich Khetagurov, the founder of Ossetian literature, lived and worked in 1901–1902. The poet's material legacy is very small, but it is here that items associated with Kosta Khetagurov are kept: a walking stick, a tablecloth brought from Saint Petersburg for his goddaughter, a snuffbox and a sketchbook he presented to his beloved drawing teacher at the Stavropol Gymnasium, V. I. Smirnov, a camera from the studio of the poet's relative and close friend A. K. Dzhanaev, authentic photographs of the poet taken with that camera, and much more. Here you can see a copy of the last painting "The Prayer for the Cup, or Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane," which Kosta Khetagurov painted while gravely ill and never managed to complete. The original painting is housed in the Republic's Art Museum.
