The exhibition was opened in honor of the Day of Heroes of the Fatherland and is dedicated to outstanding individuals who glorified the Novgorod land with their heroism and feats. It presents both historical figures associated with heroic events of ancient times and modern heroes who defended the Motherland in different eras. The four main eras of Novgorodian heroic glory — from ancient battles to the present day — are reflected in the permanent exhibition. Visitors can view the exhibits and also see wax figures of warriors from various centuries in full battle attire, which helps to more vividly convey the atmosphere of those times. The exhibition serves as a reminder of the resilience, courage, and heroic spirit of the people of Novgorod, inspiring respect for the historical heritage and the heroic deeds of their ancestors.
