\n\nVolgograd Regional Museum of Local Lore invites you to an exhibition dedicated to one of the most striking attributes of Russian everyday life. The samovar was and remains a distinctive symbol of the family hearth, comfort, and friendly gatherings. The presence of a samovar in a home indicated material well-being. Serious business matters were often resolved around it; it was indispensable in the most heated creative and political discussions. A samovar was necessary in the home of a metropolitan aristocrat, in a tavern, or in a teahouse for less affluent people.
