Exhibition 'In the Genre of Still Life'
About exhibition
A visual arts exhibition on the theme of the painting genre 'Still Life' will be held at the children's art school. Since still life established itself as a separate genre, artists have used it to speak to the viewer in the language of metaphor. In their works, a group of objects, accidentally or deliberately brought together within the confined space of the canvas, carries new meanings, reminding us of the transience of time and conveying a special level of imagination through everyday items. The exhibition will feature the top 25 diploma-style paintings in the still life genre, executed using the following techniques: canvas, oil, acrylic, and bas-relief. Each work in the exhibition will have a short review and a brief artist profile prepared. Visitors will be able to learn more about painters who became famous specifically because of this genre by viewing a presentation and taking part in a short survey during the event; a guided tour of the school will be organized for anyone who wishes to attend.
