Exhibition "We no longer live for the moment, but for eternity"
About exhibition
The exhibition displays authentic belongings of Khvalynsk residents who participated in the Great Patriotic War (World War II), along with their photographs, letters, and memoirs. A large section is dedicated to the history of Khvalynsk's orphanages, which housed children evacuated from Belarus and Ukraine. The city's wartime life is presented through the newspaper "Bolshevist Path", wartime posters, and items produced by local enterprises. Although Khvalynsk was not shelled and for almost the entire war served as a deep rear area, the town made a significant contribution to the overall Victory over Nazi Germany.
