Exhibition 'The Yusupovs: Luxury Through the Ages'
About exhibition
This large-scale exhibition project of the State Hermitage presents one of Russia's largest art collections: the treasures of the princely Yusupov family. The exhibition features more than 400 works of Western European and Russian painting, graphic art, sculpture, and decorative arts - from Antiquity to the early 20th century. The display includes masterpieces from the painting collection, a portrait gallery of the Yusupovs, the princesses' garments, and jewelry. Particular attention is paid to the Yusupovs' connection to the history of Kazan, including their kinship with Tsarina Suyumbike, which makes the exhibition especially significant.
