Rasima Minibulatovna Uraksina (19 October 1950 – 23 August 2015), a native of the Davlekanovo district of Bashkortostan, was a prominent public and cultural figure of the Republic of Bashkortostan, a teacher, poet, playwright, folklorist, and translator. Having devoted her working life to teaching and scholarly work, Rasima Uraksina became widely known as a children's writer and the author of children's poems repeatedly published as collections of her poetry. About 40 songs were composed to her poems by Bashkir composer A. Zinnurova. For many years Rasima Uraksina collected Bashkir children's folklore; with her participation the first and second volumes of Bashkir children's folklore were published. Rasima Minibulatovna's plays for children were staged at the Sibay Children's Theater and at the National Youth Theater of the Republic of Bashkortostan. She translated into Bashkir Shakespeare's tragedy 'Romeo and Juliet', Molière's play 'Don Juan', and A. Naydenov's 'The Children of Vanyushin'. The museum has mounted an exhibition from its collections dedicated to Rasima Uraksina and her life and creative work. The exhibition includes Rasima Uraksina's personal belongings, her books, and an extensive photo archive.
