About exhibition

The exhibition introduces the military and labor feats of Tyumen residents during the Great Patriotic War. The display covers life in pre-war Tyumen, the activities of Tyumen's industrial enterprises during the war, the participation of Tyumen residents in combat, and the feats they performed at the front. Visitors will learn about the evacuation of workers and factories, wounded soldiers and civilians, children from besieged Leningrad, and even the body of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, which was in Tyumen during the war years. Guests will also see a model of a bath-carriage (train bath), a giant valenok made at the boot-felting factory, a model of the winged T-60 tank, and the G-5 torpedo boat. Weapons are on display, including those produced at Tyumen factories.
