Exhibition 'Tula — Means Excellent!'
About exhibition
The exhibition 'Tula — Means Excellent!' is a large-scale cultural project dedicated to the industrial, artistic and domestic heritage of Tula in the 20th century. The display reveals the multifaceted character of a city known not only for its weapons-making traditions but also for the diverse civilian products manufactured at Tula's enterprises. In three exhibition halls there are exhibits from more than twenty factories and plants, reflecting the rich history of the region's economy. These include Tula water-heaters, accordions and bayans, confectionery packaging, vehicles, audio equipment, household appliances, examples of clothing and footwear, toys, souvenirs and other items that became part of everyday life for several generations. The core of the exhibition consists of objects from the collections of the Tula Museum Association, supplemented by materials from leading enterprises — the Imperial Tula Arms Factory, Tulamashzavod, the Tula Cartridge Plant, the Shtamp Machine Plant, the companies Oktava and Tulachermet — as well as exhibits from libraries, museums and private collectors. The project reflects the continuity of industrial and cultural traditions that unite the past and present of the city of craftsmen. Guided tour bookings by phone: 30-79-75.
