Exhibition "A Feast in the Yaroslavl Style"
About exhibition
The main theme of the exhibition is the Russian festive table traditions of the second half of the 19th to the early 20th century, since hospitality and generous hosting were part of Russian national culture, including in Yaroslavl. The exhibits show how food was prepared, what kitchen utensils were used, which dishes were preferred, how tables were laid out, and what tableware was used. The exhibition will reveal what the Yaroslavl Governorate was famous for across Russia 100 years ago: Rostov and Borisoglebsk onions, green peas from Porechye, the famous Rostov pike, and Vyatka cucumbers.
