Exhibition: 'I. P. Kolokolnikov Trading House. The Heirs'
About exhibition
The permanent exhibition is a composite image of the large shops and small retail outlets of Tyumen at the turn of the 19th–20th centuries, including the watch shop of Israel Leontyevich Altshuller, Moiseev's hat shop, the shoe store of Pavla Petrovna Vorobeychikova, Sheshukova's 'Viennese Chic', and, of course, the Kolokolnikov merchants' own shop, which traded in tea, sugar and colonial goods. Products from various pre-revolutionary Tyumen trading firms are displayed here, and the shop's large windows feature advertisements for food products. The exhibition tells the story of the shop owners — patrons who were known not only in Tyumen but throughout Russia.
