Exhibition "Light — and nothing else..."
About exhibition
The retrospective exhibition "Light — and nothing else..." is organized in collaboration with the Vitaly Sobrovin Gallery of Photographic Art and brings together works by masters of artistic photography and the graphic art of Stanislav Kosenkov. Visitors will be introduced to the works of photographers such as Pavel Krivtsov, Anatoly Lukyanov, Leonid Tuchnin and Yuri Korenko. In their portraits of Stanislav Kosenkov, these artists captured traits precise and characteristic of him alone, managing to convey the artist’s singular personality and the depth of his spiritual life. A distinctive feature of the exhibition is that Kosenkov’s photographic portraits are displayed alongside his works from the series "Childhood", "Prokhorov Field", "Windows" and his illustrations for the works of F. M. Dostoevsky. This curatorial decision is deliberate, since the primary task of both the graphic artist and the photographer is to imbue images with emotional content. The monochrome of the photographs and the laconic nature of the graphic solutions are closely related and together form a unified visual space in the exhibition.
