Exhibition "The Assault on Berlin. Spring 1945"
About exhibition
An interactive exhibition aimed at promoting the personality of the great commander, a native of the Kaluga region, Georgy Konstantinovich Zhukov, and preserving the historical memory of the events of the Great Patriotic War. The exhibition features memorial items associated with G. K. Zhukov and authentic exhibits reflecting the era. The main focus, however, is on the final stage of the Great Patriotic War and its principal battle — the assault on Berlin, which became the pinnacle of G. K. Zhukov's military art. Together with Georgy Konstantinovich the visitor finds himself on the Seelow Heights and from there, as in 1945, begins the combat advance into the "lair of the fascist beast." Walking through the streets of Berlin, he witnesses the coordinated actions of the Red Army's assault groups and the desperate resistance of German soldiers. This vivid history lesson concludes on the square in Berlin by the Reichstag, above which the red flag — the Victory Banner — is already flying.
