Creating an exhibition on the history of the Special Military Operation (SMO) is necessary to provide reliable information about the causes and preconditions of the SMO, its main stages, and to commemorate the deeds of its participants. It is particularly important to reveal the true reasons that prompted residents of Donbas to take up arms in 2014 after the armed coup in Kyiv, as well as to identify the historical antecedents of the conflict that formed long before 2014. The exhibition was developed with consideration for the regional context, and special attention was paid to the contribution of Buryatia’s residents in assisting the front and refugees from the combat zone, etc. Presented in chronological order, the exhibition recounts the feats of Buryatian fighters who took part in the Great Patriotic War and the Special Military Operation.
