Exhibition "Stalingrad: Southern Frontiers"

About exhibition

The exhibition is dedicated to the history of the settlement of Krasnoarmeysk during the Great Patriotic War. Different sections of the display present information about the life of the civilian population of the settlement during the war and specifically during the Battle of Stalingrad; the work of Krasnoarmeysk's industry and Stalingrad as a whole in support of the war effort; the medical and sanitary conditions in Stalingrad and Krasnoarmeysk and specialists' efforts to normalize them. Separate sections focus on the fighting on the southern defensive lines of Stalingrad, on commanders and natives of Krasnoarmeysk and nearby villages who were awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union for deeds performed during the war. The exhibition also provides information on the work of Krasnoarmeysk hospitals.
