Exhibition 'USSR: A Journey into the Past'
About exhibition
The exhibition is dedicated to household items from the Soviet period and offers a glimpse into the everyday lives of people who lived in the USSR in the 1930s–1980s. The display brings together original objects from that era: furniture, tableware, household appliances, textiles, hygiene items, stationery, and other elements of domestic life. Each exhibit is a piece of history reflecting the particularities of Soviet daily life and habits. Visitors will be able to see what apartments looked like in different decades, what typical kitchen utensils were like, and what people used at work and school. Some items can be touched and examined to study their construction and operating principles. The exhibition will show how technology and design developed in the Soviet Union, which materials and forms were popular, and how notions of comfort and functionality changed. Tickets are available via the link. More details are on the website.
