Exhibition "Thank You for the Songs!"
About exhibition
The exhibition presents for the first time the collection of personal awards of composer Alexandra Nikolaevna Pakhmutova, donated to the Mashkov Museum's collection. The display includes more than 50 state, public, departmental and regional awards that attest to her significant contribution to the development of Russian culture. Pakhmutova is regarded as one of the most highly decorated cultural figures: she has received the highest honors of the USSR and the Russian Federation, is an honorary citizen of Volgograd and the region, and has been awarded a number of regional distinctions. Visitors will also see evidence of the musician's popular acclaim — gifts from outstanding cultural figures and devoted fans. A distinctive feature of the exhibition is the extensive use of multimedia installations. The exhibition is complemented by rare photographs from the family archive that reveal the life of this great contemporary figure in many aspects — from professional to personal. The exhibition will be the first in a series dedicated to Alexandra Pakhmutova's creative legacy. The event is organized with the support of the Alexandra Pakhmutova Cultural Foundation and the Center for the Implementation of Cultural Projects "Svyaz Vremen".
