For the exhibition a service corridor behind the Red Halls, which are dedicated to the history of the past, was cleared — on its reverse a space about everyday Soviet domestic life appeared. It can be entered through numerous new entrances that lead visitors onto the back "street" of that time. Everything here is literally crammed with objects; the display cases are an immersive installation of cabinets and wall units suspended above the floor, inside which one can find artifacts of the era. The cluttered communal apartment continues into a large family album of ordinary 20th-century residents, presenting an "alternative history", and leads into the late Soviet period of luxury, shortages, and freedom. The people of Krasnoyarsk actively participated in the project — more than 200 donors provided around 5,000 items and 333 photographs, and also shared stories related to these items. Young Krasnoyarsk artists played an important role.
