Exhibition 'Treasures of Russian Art'
About exhibition
The exhibition includes more than 80 works of painting, sculpture, and decorative-applied arts created by Russian masters of the 18th – early 20th centuries. They are united by the highest artistic merits; these are truly treasures of Russian art. Visitors will have the opportunity to see works by K. P. Bryullov, K. A. Korovin, I. K. Aivazovsky, K. E. Makovsky, which marked the beginning of the museum's collection formation in 1960. The collection was enriched by a generous gift from N. A. Arning-Zaitseva, the widow of the well-known Moscow collector K. F. Arning, who donated 38 works to the museum in 1980. Among them were genuine masterpieces — works by V. A. Serov, I. I. Shishkin, M. F. Larionov, which visitors can also see at the exhibition. The museum's holdings were further increased through purchases from the artists' heirs and private collectors (A. K. Savrasov 'Rasputitsa', F. Malyavin 'Portrait of a Girl'). The price includes admission to other exhibitions held in the museum's main building. For more information, call: +7 (8442) 38-24-44.
