Exhibition 'Treasures of Buddhist Culture and Art'

About exhibition

The exhibition is devoted to the fundamental principles of Buddhist teachings on wisdom and compassion, the influence of global Buddhist culture on the life of Buryat tribes, and the achievements of regional artistic culture. For the first time, certain types of small sculptural pieces from Buddhist countries abroad are being shown: India, Nepal, Tibet, countries of Southeast Asia, China, Japan, and Mongolia. The exhibition preserves the main sheets of the 'Atlas of Tibetan Medicine', a set of therapeutic remedies and types of surgical instruments used by Buryat emchi-lamas.
