The exhibition presents unique items from the museum's collection dedicated to the geological history of the Perm region and its role in shaping Russia's natural wealth. The main focus is on the Permian Period (299–252 million years ago) — the only geological time interval named after a region of Russia. The display includes fossils of marine inhabitants of the ancient Permian Sea: ammonites, belemnites, brachiopods, corals, and trilobites. Of particular interest are lifelike models of ancient animals and plants reconstructed on the basis of scientific data. A separate section is devoted to minerals formed during the Permian Period: gypsum, rock salt, anthracite, and other useful minerals that are still mined in the Urals. The exhibition reveals the connection between the geological past and the region's modern development, emphasizing the importance of natural heritage in Russia's history. The project aims to popularize scientific knowledge and preserve the memory of the Earth's ancient stages of formation.
