Exhibition 'Siberian Legend: Hvorostovsky'
About exhibition
The V. I. Surikov Art Museum presents a project that will be part of the Krasnoyarsk arts festival 'Hvorostovsky'. The exhibition will unite three chapters — 'Krasnoyarsk', 'Siberia' and 'Russia'. Dmitri Hvorostovsky's creative biography will be told through images of the city, the region and the country. The talent of the renowned baritone is inextricably linked with the Siberian land and ideas of patriotism. Visitors will see works by prominent Krasnoyarsk artists: Boris Riauzov, Valerian Sergin, and Andrei Pozdeev. Their works introduce the places that surrounded the famous performer in his childhood and youth. Guests will recognize familiar corners of the city and nature in painting and graphics. For the first time, works by Viktor Vasnetsov, Mikhail Vrubel, Arkhip Kuindzhi and Mikhail Nesterov will be presented at the exhibition. Landscapes from leading regional museums will show the beauty of Russian nature that inspired a world-class performer.
